Luca Paul was born on October 1st, weighed 8lbs 11oz 20.75 in…. this champ has grown so much since then and is such a precious little boy. His parents, Amoreena & Jon, did such a beautiful job decorating his nursery. I just had to highlight all the details.

Jon is a major Giants fan, so he has started his influence at this early age…. no Dodger or Angel fans in this household!!!

CONGRATULATIONS FIDANI FAMILY!!!

Emily was an old co-worker of mine for another photography company a couple years back. We have kept in contact though the years . She has assisted me in weddings  and we have assisted other photographers together.  Anyway, I was honored to be one of the photographers to capture her wedding. Emily looked absolutely stunning on her special day!

Congratulations Emily  and  Daryl!

Staci & Tim were definitely one of the MOST casual clients I’ve ever had. I was so excited to be part of their day.  There were weather predictions of thunderstorms all week . This made for a very worried bride . But with the work of Theresa Belling with Dream Weddings Happen, everything came together so beautifully …. and it never rained!

Thank you also to my assistant Lis Fonseca with Shea Photography. It’s always great working with you.

CONGRATULATIONS STACI & TIM LEE!!

Last September I was contacted by Zach to take photos of him proposing to Jessica. What a special day that was. Now about a year later Jessica & Zach got married. It was a perfect day in Las Vegas, NV and I was beyond honored to be there to capture this blessed day.  Congratulations Zach & Jessica….

When I received the phone call to take family photos of the Hanson family, I was so honored and excited! Bret & Rosemarie are related through my brother in-law. They are missionaries in Nairobi, Kenya and are here in CA for about a year. They have NEVER had a family photo taken… ever, so I was up for the challenge. We had such a blast running around Riverside and had to make it into Casey’s Cupcakes Shop!

Leslie & Anthony are one of the  sweetest couples. I was referred to them by a high school friend and I’m really excited to capture there love for each other this weekend!!

When I got the message from Amanda, I was so excited to  hear from her and also to take her precious daughter, Hailey Quinn, newborn session. See, Amanda and I went to elementary school together and Jr. High. We both also used to ice skate and did so at the same rink. Over 25 years later we reconnect through Facebook!

Here is Amanda’s experience with pregnancy.

Brian and I knew from the beginning that having a family was really important to us. We had been married about a year and a half when we found out I was pregnant and we couldn’t have been more excited. I had a bit of a rough start with my pregnancy since we went on a cruise that we had been planning right about the time my morning sickness kicked in. Rough seas and an increase in hormones made for a very long and nauseating week! I never wanted a vacation to be over more than I did that one! Aside from that, I was very lucky to have a healthy and uneventful pregnancy. The hardest part was just waiting to meet our beautiful baby girl. My most favorite time with her is snuggling her to sleep on my chest. I could sit and watch her snooze peacefully all day long. She is such an amazing blessing in our lives.

Through the years I have captured the Harrell family in portraits. I was so excited to have the opportunity to photograph Stacy & Jim’s newborn son, Logan . Below is their story of the journey of parenthood.

After 4 years of marriage, travel, finishing school, and accomplishing all we wanted before kids, we were ready to start a family. However, our plan did not seem to match God’s plan. We tried to conceive a child for about two and a half years before being blessed with our precious baby boy through IVF. God has truly taken us down a road that has made us stronger as individuals and as a couple. This baby boy is our miracle. What a true blessing he is to us and our entire family.

As they say, kids go through there terrible twos… really terrible?? Now that I have an almost 2 year old I know what ” they” are talking about. But when they are so darn CUTE, terrible goes right out the window.

I was so excited when I got the opportunity to photograph  my cousin’s, daughter for her 2 year old pictures. She is such a cutie pie!

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is being able to capture  and document  special moments in peoples lives. Especially people that I hold close to my heart. My dear friend Tara and I have been friends since elementary school. After getting married she and her husband moved to Ohio. When she is out in California we always make it a point to get together. This last visit I was able to photograph her precious daughter. Not only are babies a gift from God they are also a miracle. “… formed and created in the mother’s womb. “  ( Ps  139:13)

Tara and her husband have a special story to go along with her pregnancy and the beginning steps of becoming parents.

Here is there story.

After two years of trying and two miscarriages the Lord blessed us a third time (its a charm). I was shocked, apprehensive and not ready to go through all that again. The funny thing though this time I was due on my birthday and I felt as though the Lord was going to give me this gift. I was still a little nervous throughout my pregnancy but the verse that kept coming back to me was, “Every good and perfect gift comes from above”. James 1:17. I just held onto that verse and day by day He gave me strength. Our little gift arrived a week early and we were able to celebrate the miracle that God blessed us with.
